    Theatre Guide

    This section houses all our upcoming shows, productions, concerts and performances. Most of these events are in our main auditorium. You are able to sort by type of performance, for your convenience.

    Chequer Mead is home to various fitness and dance classes, singing groups and theatre companies which are all listed here.

    Many clubs and organisations hold their meetings and events at Chequer Mead. Here you’ll find all the information you’ll need about the variety of events at the theatre.

    Facilities at Chequer Mead

    At the heart of Chequer Mead is our purpose built, 320 seat theatre which is fully equipped with a full range of modern supporting facilities. In addition to the main house, we have a range of multi-purpose spaces ideal for corporate meetings, rehearsals, private functions, classes and events. We can comfortably cater for any number of people between 10 and 320.

Do you LOVE singing,LOVE soul music and LOVE having fun?

This is the CHOIR for YOU!


We sing popular Soul, Motown, R&B, Funk and Soulful Pop songs arranged for 3 or 4 part harmony singing. We are a very friendly choir and welcome ALL singers, whoever you are and whether you are an experienced singer who would love to take solos, or completely new to singing.
