Can You Ever Forgive Me?

< Back to Whats On

Please note: This event is in the past and is available as a reference only.

This is an adaptation of the memoir of the same title, relaying the true story of the best-selling celebrity biographer, and friend to cats, Lee Israel (played by Melissa McCarthy).

In the 70s & 80s, Israel made her living profiling the likes of Katharine Hepburn, Tallulah Bankhead, Estée Lauder and journalist Dorothy Kilgallen.  When Lee found herself unable to get published because she had fallen out of step with current tastes and trends, she turns her art form to deception, aided by loyal friend Jack (Richard E Grant).

Film rating 15.
