“The King and I” Rehearsals are Hotting Up!

We are thrilled that the classic musical “The King and I” will be coming to Chequer Mead from August 6th to 10th, and rehearsals are already well underway. The multi-talented Company of Friends cast are singing and dancing away, even with the soaring temperatures more akin to the Far East than East Grinstead!
Featuring the unforgettable songs including ‘Getting to Know You’ and ‘Shall We Dance’, this classic Rodgers and Hammersmith musical has previously won a prestigious NODA award for Best Musical. This time, all proceeds from the performances will go towards refurbishing our auditorium seats, making them ‘fit for a King’!
