    Theatre Guide

    This section houses all our upcoming shows, productions, concerts and performances. Most of these events are in our main auditorium. You are able to sort by type of performance, for your convenience.

    Chequer Mead is home to various fitness and dance classes, singing groups and theatre companies which are all listed here.

    Many clubs and organisations hold their meetings and events at Chequer Mead. Here you’ll find all the information you’ll need about the variety of events at the theatre.

    Facilities at Chequer Mead

    At the heart of Chequer Mead is our purpose built, 320 seat theatre which is fully equipped with a full range of modern supporting facilities. In addition to the main house, we have a range of multi-purpose spaces ideal for corporate meetings, rehearsals, private functions, classes and events. We can comfortably cater for any number of people between 10 and 320.

Griffin Tales Drama Classes

Thursday 6th July, 4:00pm - 6:00pm
and

Please note: This event is in the past and is available as a reference only.

This new inclusive mixed drama group includes drama games, stage craft, story-telling, puppetry, improvisation, physical theatre, script-work and plenty of confidence. 

Building drama exercises, leading to a full theatre production.

The classes will combine drama and childrens literature to create imaginative performances.

Griffin Tales, where drama is for everyone.
