With a wide range of facilities to suit all conferences, meetings and events at affordable prices, Chequer Mead makes a unique and inspiring venue to hold your event.
Set in a converted Victorian primary school with many original features, our facilities include our 320 seat auditorium, studio, art gallery and variety of smaller rooms which can be used for conferences, seminars, training sessions and receptions. During the summer, our large garden makes a relaxing area for delegates.
Chequer Mead is easily accessible at the heart of East Grinstead – with direct links to London, East Grinstead is one hour from London Victoria and 30min drive from Gatwick Airport. There are two large public car parks directly opposite the centre.
Our event staff will work with you throughout the planning stages of your event to ensure your event runs smoothly and our technical staff will assist with your equipment requirements and set up on the day.
Our in-house caterers at the Pavilion Café can provide a wide range of catering options, from breakfast buffets, lunchtime buffets to formal dinners and afternoon teas. To discuss your catering requirements, please contact The Pavilion Café.
