    Theatre Guide

    This section houses all our upcoming shows, productions, concerts and performances. Most of these events are in our main auditorium. You are able to sort by type of performance, for your convenience.

    Chequer Mead is home to various fitness and dance classes, singing groups and theatre companies which are all listed here.

    Many clubs and organisations hold their meetings and events at Chequer Mead. Here you’ll find all the information you’ll need about the variety of events at the theatre.

    Facilities at Chequer Mead

    At the heart of Chequer Mead is our purpose built, 320 seat theatre which is fully equipped with a full range of modern supporting facilities. In addition to the main house, we have a range of multi-purpose spaces ideal for corporate meetings, rehearsals, private functions, classes and events. We can comfortably cater for any number of people between 10 and 320.

The West End Comes to East Grinstead!

Direct from their sold out tour last year...The West End comes to Chequer Mead on Saturday 8th April at 7:30pm.

The cast of leading performers directly from the West End, have starred in many West End productions and national tours including Les Miserables, South Pacific, Singing in the Rain, Phantom Of The Opera, Wicked, We Will Rock You, Godspell, Joseph and Cats... to name but a few!

Join them for a night at the Movies, with a magical evening of entertainment, featuring the very best songs from the classic movies throughout the decades.
