The Era of Swing is brought to life this October!

Friday 7th September 2018 @ 12:35pm by Alex
Categories: Shows, Productions and Events

The UK's hottest mini big band and vintage orchestra take to the Chequer Mead stage this October for a fun-filled night of Swing brought to life, as The Down for the Count Swing Orchestra celebrate the best music of the 20th Century.

Described as "a breath of fresh air on the swing scene", the show will feature all the big band favourites from the likes of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey and many more. The band are also never afraid to try something new and you can expect to hear anything from New Orleans grooves to 1950s jive thrown into the show.

Join them in their celebration of the best of vintage music on Friday 12th October at 7:30pm.  Tickets available here.
